Wozniacki secured the world number one spot earlier this week with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Petra Kvitova. The Dane may not have made a slam final in 2010 but her incredible consistency on all surfaces has seen her continue her meteoric rise.
She battled past a resurgent Ana Ivanovic 7-6, 6-4 in the last eight and now plays Peer who edged Swiss Timea Bacsinszky by the same scoreline.
Wozniacki will be confident having won three of her four matches against the Israeli but she did lose their last match – 6-2, 7-5 in Dubai in February. However at the Aussie Open Wozniacki cruised to a 6-4, 6-0 win and that's the sort of scoreline we expect in this match.
