Caroline Wozniacki plays Sam Stosur in the sole Maroon Group match on Wednesday at the WTA Championships.

Wozniacki was in blistering form on Tuesday, routing Elena Dementieva 6-1, 6-1 in under an hour. The world number one sent out a clear statement to the rest of the field with her performance, she will take some beating here.

The winner of this clash will pretty much be assured of a place in the last four. Stosur also looked pretty convincing during her 6-4, 6-4 win over Francesca Schiavone, revenge for the French Open final.

"It wasn't going too well at the beginning, that's for sure. It was happening so quickly," Stosur said, commenting on her slow start. "From that point I just tried to slow down a little bit and take my time, and play point by point. One game turned into two, three... then I started feeling a lot better and knew I was back in the match."

This should be a classic clash of styles. Wozniacki's all-action defensive retrieving against the big serving Aussie, looking to dictate the points and hit the Dane off court with her forehand.

Wozniacki will have a tougher match but Stosur is not in the form to consistently hit her off the court over three sets. Wozniacki is too solid from the back of the court at the moment and she knows she can get to Stosur's weak backhand in the rallies.
