The top seed continued her campaign with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Virginie Razzano in round two, and as yet we’ve not seen anyone test the Dane this week at the All-England Club. She could be a major contender for the title if she keeps playing like this.
Wozniacki has enjoyed a terrific season so far, and claimed her fifth title of the season in Copenhagen just weeks before Wimbledon. She didn’t play any competitive grass court tennis prior to this week, but that doesn’t seem to have hampered her chances. She will now face Jarmila Gajdosova for a place in the fourth round.
Gajdosova found her way into round three with a 7-6, 6-3 victory over former doubles partner Andrea Hlavackova, The No. 27 seed has enough about her to clinch a surprise success on Saturday, but she’ll need to be at her best. The top seed is the favourite here, but this match could be a very close one.
