Wozniacki will be hoping to put her US Open disappointment behind her this week. It was a strange tournament for the Dane who started brilliantly and silenced her doubters with a fourth round defeat of Maria Sharapova. However those critics re-awakened in the aftermath of her dismal display against Vera Zvonareva in the semis.
Wozniacki has never really fared well in Tokyo, losing her first match of the tournament for the past two years.
She should be able to turn that around against the qualifier Arn, ranked 105 in the world. The Hungarian is an experienced player and she was far too wily against the 16 year old Laura Robson in round one. However Wozniacki is a different proposition, a fellow counter-puncher who is both faster and harder hitting with a much bigger serve.
