Caroline Wozniacki could be in trouble against Gisela Dulko on day one of the Australian Open.
Wozniacki has been producing some fighting talk over the past few days and the time has come to see whether the Dane can show the same fighting spirit on court. She has looked quite vulnerable so far this year, being humiliated by Vera Zvonareva and Kim Clijsters in a Thai exhibition event and losing her opening match in Sydney.
Dulko is known most for her doubles ability (she's ranked number one) but the Argentine is also a very stylish singles players with a bit of a reputation as a giant killer. Make no mistake, this is a very tricky opener for Wozniacki.
"It's a tough first round because Gisela is a very good player," the top seed said. "She likes to play on this surface. She's getting a lot of balls back. But I'm looking forward to the match and hoping to get a good start."
Dulko has plenty of variety and is a fantastic volleyer so she will do her best to break up Wozniacki's renowned hitting rhythm. However she is fairly inconsistent from match to match hence her current ranking of 48.
They have played three times before with the Dane leading 2-1 on the head-to-head. They actually faced each other in round one of the 2008 Aussie Open when Wozniacki cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Prediction: Wozniacki to battle through in 3
