Caroline Wozniacki takes on Flavia Pennetta in the third round of the Rogers Cup.

Wozniacki ground out a 7-5, 7-5 round two win over Swiss veteran Patty Schnyder, coming back from 3-1 down in the second set. It was a welcome win for Wozniacki after an early loss to Marion Bartoli in Cincinnati last week.
Pennetta has looked very impressive in her first two matches, defeating dangerous opponents in Daniela Hantuchova and Alisa Kleybanova, both in straight sets. The Italian had a good week in Cincinnati, defeating Wimbledon runner-up Vera Zvonareva in straight sets before falling to Kim Clijsters.
Wozniacki however has won all three of their previous matches, beating the Italian 6-4, 6-1 in the New Haven semis last summer and 7-6, 6-7, 6-2 at the French Open earlier this year despite clay being Pennetta's favourite surface.
