World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki will meet Dominika Cibulkova in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2011You can watch and bet on the action from Wimbledon at bet365Caroline Wozniacki has been making superb progress here at the All-England Club, and could well be on course to win her first ever Slam title. The Dane might not be considered the favourite, with the likes of the Williams sisters and Victoria Azarenka in the draw, but on current form is arguably looking worthy of her status as the top seed.
Wozniacki was full of confidence in round three, where she made just five unforced errors on her way to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Jarmila Gajdosova. Wozniacki may well have never won a Slam, nor beaten either of the Williams sisters, but if she continues to play with such reliability has every chance of launching a title challenge.
Her opponent in round four will be No. 24 seed Dominika Cibulkova. Cibulkova won a tricky contest against Julia Goerges in round three (6-4, 1-6, 6-3), but will need to maintain this standard of play to have a chance of getting past Wozniacki. Whilst Cibulkova has beaten the Dane twice previously, she’s lost to her six times, and is likely to struggle against her on such a big stage.
