Caroline Wozniacki, a fourth rounder from Wimbledon 2009 and 2010, is back into the second week of action at the All England Club as the Dane defeated Jarmila Gajdosova in straight sets on Saturday to advance to the fourth round.
Wozniacki, needed just over an hour to complete the match which ended at 6-3, 6-2 in 66 minutes.
The Dane served well in the match as she struck for three aces and had zero double faults. Additionally she won 89% of the points played on her first serve.
The top seed will next face Dominika Cibulkova, the 24th seeded player at the All England Club. Cibulkova herself was a winner on Saturday taking out Julia Goerges in the third round to qualify for her first fourth round appearance at the All England Club.
There could be a quarterfinal showdown brewing between Maria Sharapova and Wozniacki as the two players are now just one round away from meeting next week.
