Juan Carlos Ferrero will be hoping for a turnaround in fortunes at the Brasil Open.

Ferrero could have had an easier first round draw, Schwank comes into this match in decent form having won one challenger in January and made the final of another. Last week in Santiago he reached the quarter-finals before losing to eventual champion Bellucci.

However despite his indifferent start to 2010, Ferrero was hindered down under by an ankle injury and on clay the Spaniard remains a difficult proposition against all opponents.

He may not be the all-conquering world-beater on the dirt as he was back in 2003 but as a former Roland Garros champion he is always a threat on the surface.

Ferrero reached the quarter-finals of this tournament last year and seems slightly under-priced at 8/11 with William Hill and is worth backing heavily at those odds given his reputation. Schwank is 13/10 with Boylesports.
