With Rafael Nadal still recovering from his injury, bookmakers are forecasting that Roger Federer will be the Wimbledon champion of 2009, winning his 15th major.

Roger Federer has been installed as the clear favourite for Wimbledon 2009. However if the punters get it right and Andy Murray, the strongly backed Brit, wins Wimbledon then bookmakers will be severely broken and face the biggest payouts in Wimbledon betting history.

Bookmakers are predicting that Roger Federer will beat Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final, with Andy Roddick and Novak Djokovic losing out in the semifinals.

A Swiss triumph at Wimbledon (June 22 – July 5) would be an admirable addition to an impressive series of recent wins. But Wimbledon 2009 is sure to hold surprises, it’s time for punters to enter the court and prove the bookies wrong.
