Federer, Wozniacki, Li, and Djokovic were the survivors on Day 9 from the 2011 Australian Open.
Neither Roger Federer nor Novak Djokovic had much trouble advancing through their quarterfinals at the 2011 Australian Open. Both players brushed aside their opponents in straight sets and that will set up a massive semifinal showdown between the two.
Tomas Berdych and Stanislas Wawrinka both did their damage in Melbourne however neither had enough to take a set down in the quarters at Melbourne Park although each player bettered his result from 2010.
Djokovic and Federer also met in the semifinals from Flushing Meadows. In that match Djokovic saved match points as he defeated Federer in a very entertaining and closely contested affair that saw the Serbian through to the final, where he lost to Rafael Nadal.
On the women's side both Caroline Wozniacki and Na Li advanced. Wozniacki is enjoying her best ever Melbourne Park result while Na Li is into the semifinals for the second year in a row.
