Justine Henin was in magnificent form as she swept into Saturday’s Australian Open final.

She simply destroyed the unseeded Jie Zheng of China who had no answer to Henin’s fluent all-court game.

Henin, a champion at this tournament in 2004, wrapped up a 6-1, 6-0 win in just 51 minutes, reeling off twelve games in a row in a completely one-sided match.

Since returning to tennis, Henin has made noticeable changes to her game, shortening her backswing on her forehand in a bid to gain greater power and increasing the frequency of her forays to the net. It was a tactic which worked perfectly against Zheng, Henin unsettled her opponent early on by ghosting into the net whenever possible and she never looked back.

Henin was understandably delighted afterwards saying, “Today was perfect - it was good to have a pretty easy match. I can't wait for the final. It's an amazing feeling to have the chance to play another final in Melbourne. It's fantastic for me."
