Jelena Dokic returns to the scene where she captivated her home fans last year.

Dokic’s giant killing run to the quarter-finals was one of the memorable moments of last year’s tournament. Her opponent in today’s night session will bring back many memories of 2009.

Dokic and Kleybanova faced each other in the fourth round with the Russian coming off a third round win over Ana Ivanovic. The result was an epic, going on into the night which Dokic eventually took 7-5, 5-7, 8-6 in front of a very partisan home crowd.

Since then Dokic has not quite pushed on as much as her fans hoped, though at 58 in the rankings she no longer needs wildcards. Kleybanova enjoyed a successful 2009 and is up to 28 in the rankings.

It is a hard one to predict as neither player has had a great start to the year. Kleybanova has lost both her matches so far and Dokic got thrashed 6-2, 6-2 in Hobart by Shahar Peer.
