It's been a thrilling fortnight down under with surprises aplenty and for the first time in three years we have a major final without Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal. Instead it's Andy Murray taking on Novak Djokovic, the first time these two have met in a Grand Slam and it promises to be a fascinating rivalry between them over the next decade.
Murray has arguably had a fairly easy ride to the final, facing just one top ten player in David Ferrer along the way. The fifth seed looked simply sensational in the first four rounds but his level dropped a little in his past couple of matches and he will need his best tennis to take down Djokovic.
Djokovic has enjoyed one of the finest tournaments of his career, stunning Roger Federer in straight sets and despatching opponents of the quality of Tomas Berdych with ease. The Serb is finally free of the self-doubt which has plagued his game for the past couple of seasons and he's back to his attacking best.
Game wise, these two have probably the best backhands in men's tennis but Djokovic is more potent off the forehand wing as he showed so brilliantly against Federer. However Murray's serving has been top drawer all tournament while Djokovic's can tend to waver a little and Murray will be hoping to step in and exploit that.
Their head-to-head is locked at 3-3 but Murray has won the last three. They last played in the 2009 Miami Masters final when Murray triumphed 6-2, 7-5.
