Watch Serena Williams v Justine Henin for free Check back later for match reports and previews of tomorrow's men's final Roger Federer v Andy Murray which we will be covering live ball-by-ball on here It's Serena's 12th grand slam title putting her equal with Billie Jean King on the all time list Well that was one of the best women's Australian Open finals we have had in a while, two hours of quality tennis. You have to feel a little sorry for Justine Henin who fought like a tiger but she just was not quite physically ready to go the full distance this early in her comeback. You have to hand it to Serena Williams who produced a tremendous third set just as it looked like it was slipping away from her - her serving in this match was simply faultless, when she needed it she came up with the goods SERENA WILLIAMS IS THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2010 CHAMPION Williams 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 Henin: Fittingly it Williams seals the title with several huge serves...that was the rock of her game tonight Williams 6-4, 3-6, 5-2 Henin: Williams' forehand has been as solid as a rock tonight, she's had both power and control off that wing...big, big forehand down the line makes it 15-15. Henin's legs really do look to be going now and she double faults to put herself in trouble. She really is in trouble now when she attacks the net but Serena flicks a dipping backhand pass and Henin nets a tricky drop volley. And Serena breaks again - crunching a backhand return to get the double break Williams 6-4, 3-6, 4-2 Henin: Williams showing some great composure consolidating her break with some fabulous serving, really has the cornerstone of her game tonight, when she's needed it on the key points. Henin challenges an ace on game point and she's right but Serena just fires down another to grab a 4-2 lead Williams 6-4, 3-6, 3-2 Henin: First signs that Henin may be tiring, legs don't look as sharp as they were and Serena takes advantage to break again....does Henin have the physical conditioning to go the distance in this set Williams 6-4, 3-6, 2-2 Henin: Suddenly its Serena's turn to lose her way...some loose shots and Henin's got 0-40....she misses two makeable returns...but blasts a cross-court forehand winner and we're back on serve Williams 6-4, 3-6, 2-1 Henin: After those chances in the previous game Henin looks a little flat....Serena tempers down her game and takes the heat out of Henin's groundstrokes...few errors from the Belgian and Serena grabs a crucial break Williams 6-4, 3-6, 1-1 Henin: Henin smashes a forehand winner off the return to start the game and another blistering groundstroke from the Belgian gives her 0-30....suddenly its 2 break points for Henin and Serena is staring down the barrel, still early in the set but Henin is on such a roll right now.......however Williams composes herself, produces a few great first serves, reels off 4 points and holds....champions response there Williams 6-4, 3-6, 0-1 Henin: Henin is playing some unbelievable stuff right now and holds comfortably to start the set....both forehand and backhand firing on all cylinders right now Latest odds: bet365: Serena Williams (6/4).....Justine Henin (8/15) 10.15: Williams 6-4, 3-6, 0-0 Henin Latest news is that Justine Henin broke twice from 3-3 in the second set and we're now into a third set OK apologies about all of that, we had some technical difficulties but are back online now 9.54: Williams 6-4, 3-2 Henin: Routine hold for Serena....Henin never really got into that game, still struggling to deal with Serena's sliced serve out wide to the deuce court - Serena's stock serve...might want to think about adjusting her return position on that side as Serena goes to that serve whenever she needs it 9.50: Williams 6-4, 2-2 Henin: One of the reasons Henin did so well against the Williams sisters in her previous career was that she's as mentally tough as they are....however going by the momentum shifts in this match, Henin will probably drop a lousy service game in here........what did I say......an erratic first couple of points and Serena takes full advantage to get 2 break back points with a huge forehand.....even with Henin's speed she had no chance on that.......Henin smothers a drop volley to save the first but a good deep return from Serena forces the error and we're on level pegging again 9.46: Williams 6-4, 1-2 Henin: It's see-saw tennis at the moment....after those chances in the previous game suddenly Serena's in trouble....Henin times a forehand beautifully down the line for 0-30 and then Serena gifts her 3 break points....missing a makeable pass.......and Henin has broken first.....interesting stuff 9.43: Williams 6-4, 1-1 Henin: Henin is generally struggling when she misses her first serve, only winning 40% of her second serve points and it's because she's making too many unforced errors at the moment....missing some fairly routine shots. A backhand wide gives Serena 15-30 and then Henin overcooks a forehand....2 break points.......big serve saves the first.....and then Serena puts too much on a backhand and its deuce. Great serve from Henin and then a Williams forehand loops over the baseline and the Belgian holds on.....gritty stuff. 9.38: Williams 6-4, 1-0 Henin: Both women really teeing off on the forehand whenever they get the chance but Henin is proving the more erratic at the moment - nets a very makeable second serve return and then sends a forehand wide to give Serena 2 game points and a swinging ace out wide gets Serena off to a good start in the second set Ominously for Henin, in all her slam triumphs of the past she has always won the first set of the final....somehow I doubt she will be thinking too much about that right now Probably just the way Serena played the break points which give her the edge in that set....Henin maybe needs to mix things up and get into the net more....we shall see 9.33: Williams 6-4, 0-0 Henin: Henin really needs to keep things tight in this game, serving to stay in the set....hmm double fault isn't the best start to the game...no matter Henin bangs down an ace on the next point, generated some serious spin on that one. Serena gives herself half a chance with a huge forehand down the line. However Henin follows an ace with another untimely double fault to give Serena set point.....saved quickly with another big serve......another careless error from Henin, backhand slice floating long and a second backhand error gives Serena the set 9.27: Williams 5-4 Henin: Williams has no intention of letting Henin run away with this and she bangs out a quick love hold - three very big serves...something which is going to be very crucial in this match, can she keep this serving up.....key stage of this match right now 9.25: Williams 4-4 Henin: Henin really is in right in this match now - crushes a short forehand past a stationary Williams who looks a little deflated right now. A couple of big serves and Henin holds quickly. 9.20: Williams 4-3 Henin: Couple of glitzy backhands from Henin give her half a chance at 0-30 - one screamer of a cross court pass there. Williams shanks one to give Henin a couple of break points.........and it's back on serve 9.18: Williams 4-2 Henin: Henin races to 40-0 with a couple of big forehands behind the serve. 2 double faults brings Serena back into the game - bit careless that......but Serena shanks a forehand into the net and Henin is still in the set......Australian crowd is completely behind Henin, little bit surprising after Williams' 4 titles here Apparently this first set is absolutely vital - Serena has never lost a match in Australia after winning the first set. 9.13: Williams 4-1 Henin: First cry of 'Allez' from Henin as she gets another 15-30 opportunity and she has 15-40 as Williams nets a backhand. Big, big serve from Serena saves the first - that has seen her through so many tight matches over the years. Henin cushions a drop volley and thinks she's broken back but it's called out.....oh no it's called in and they're replaying the point - bit of drama, Serena isn't particularly happy with the decision. Serena saves the 2nd with another big serve - bit harsh on Henin.......And Serena consolidates the break as Henin nets a volley 9.07: Williams 3-1 Henin: Henin drops serve in a flash - a double fault sees her go down 0-30 and then a screaming cross-court backhand out of nowhere gives Serena three break points......and she gets the first break as Henin sends a loose forehand wide Serena is kitted out in three bandages today - one very ominous looking strapping on her left thigh - could those niggles come into play as the match goes long. Interesting tactics in the opening few games, Serena looking to attack the re-modelled Henin forehand but with not much success so far. 9.03: Williams 2-1 Henin: First double fault of the match from Serena and suddenly she's in trouble as Henin rushes the net behind a return to get to 15-30. Then the luckiest of net cords gives Henin a first break point. However Serena has only been broken six times in this tournament so Henin faces a stern task and the defending champion saves it with an ace. Serena misse a couple of game points - saved with a couple of dazzling winners off the Henin racket........then a third game point goes begging as Henin crushes a forehand return....however Serena's serve keeps her in the game - couple of big serves and Serena holds on 8.54: Williams 1-1 Henin: Henin spent over a year away from tennis but that single-handed backhand is as glorious as ever and she opens her first service game with a winner into the space. Serena absolutely rockets a forehand winner off the serve to get to 30-30 but Henin holds on to 30 as Serena pushes a backhand wide - crucial hold there ! 8.48: Williams 1-0 Henin: Pretty good start to a match that promises much - eight minute opening game. Serena eventually holds after several deuces as Henin nets a backhand 8.40: We're underway - Serena to serve first Odds at the start of the match with bet365: Henin (1/1), Serena (4/5) I’ll be fielding your emails and answering any questions leading up to and during the match – send them to dcwriter89@googlemail.com You can watch Serena Williams v Justine Henin live for free on bet365.
