Roddick took care of Yen-Hsun Lu 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday night with a typically efficient display of serving. When Roddick is making 79% of his first serves there is generally little you can do and Lu did well to break him once.

Former Wimbledon junior champion De Bakker has made his way steadily onto the main tour and he is ranked 73. He had a boost when Janko Tipsarevic retired at the start of their second round match, handing him a place in the last 32.

However De Bakker has not shown any signs that he can beat top 10 players and there should be a repeat of when these two played at the Australian Open. Roddick securing a crushing 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 win that day.
