Andy Roddick makes his return to the tour against Sam Querrey in the first round of the Swiss Indoors.

Roddick sustained an injury at the Shanghai Masters a few weeks ago and with competition hotting up for the final few ATP World Finals places, the American has been facing a race against time to get back to full fitness. He needs a big couple of weeks here and in Paris, with Fernando Verdasco and Mikhail Youzhny both within touching distance.
Querrey has enjoyed the best year of his career, winning four titles and breaking the top 20 in the summer. He's currently ranked 22 but has not been able to sustain the form indoors, making a couple of early exits during the brief Asian swing last month.
Roddick leads the head-to-head 4-2. They have played a number of times in the past couple of years and recently Querrey has started to get a feel for Roddick's game, beating the American 7-6, 7-6 in Cincinnati 2009 and 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 in Memphis earlier this year.
