Cincinnati nightmare for Andy Roddick as he slipped up to Sam Querrey in a 7-6, 7-6 result.
Querrey had lost all three previous encounters with the former US Open champion but he roared back from 5-2 down in the first set tie-breaker to claim an epic first set.
Roddick looked annoyed in the second set and Roddick soon lost his composure as the momentum swung before Querrey sealed a famous victory in the second tie-break.
Querrey was delighted to have finally gotten the better of Roddick claiming the victory was "definitely one of the best wins ever,".
Querrey said. "Probably the best victory for me, it feels pretty good."
Although Roddick has been ousted from the Cincinnati Masters, Federer, Nadal and defending champion Murray remain.
