Andy Murray plays Stanislas Wawrinka in round three of the US Open later today.

Murray gets his first test of the tournament after seeing off the flashy Lukas Lacko and the unpredictable Dustin Brown without too much bother. Wawrinka is a serious threat and Murray admitted in his press conference that he would have to “do everything well” to beat him.

Wawrinka is a silky shot-maker at his best and Murray will remember their encounter under the centre court lights of Wimbledon last year when the Swiss threaded forehand winners onto the lines for three hours and Murray only just clinched it in five.

However Murray has stepped up a gear this summer and his serve looks particularly potent. He's also looking to take the ball on when he gets the chance and you sense he's a player more in control of his own destiny.

He destroyed Wawrinka in straight sets when they played here two years ago and although we expect the Swiss to make more of a match of it this time, Murray still looks likely to go through in three.
