Andy Murray is clearly eager to provide the home fans at Wimbledon with their first British champion for over seventy years, and has started the tournament magnificently. Murray is currently the only player left in the Men’s draw to have not dropped a set so far, and is on course to better his best Wimbledon performance to date, which occurred last year when he reached the semi finals.

Despite this, he faces Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in today’s quarterfinal; not an easy match by anybodies standards. Tsonga is the tenth seed here at Wimbledon, and is renowned for his athleticism and ability to strike the ball with power. This is the kind of match that could go right down to the wire, and should allow us all to properly assess Murray’s chances of lifting the title this week.

The result is not so easy to predict, though on current form Murray looks very strong, and just about goes into this match as the favourite. This should be an intriguing duel, and we can expect to see some fantastic movement combined with numerous memorable rallies. We should be in for an exciting contest.
