Andy Murray's Wimbledon campaign starts on Monday as the Scot opens with a match against Daniel Gimeno-Traver at the All England Club.
Andy Murray, Britain's top hope for a Wimbledon championship, had the perfect warm up for the grass court Grand Slam as he won the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club.
The British number one is now being talked of as one of the potential winners at the All England Club this year and certainly his back-to-back semifinal appearances imply a lengthy run again. The Scot begins his challenge against world number 52 Daniel Gimeno-Traver on Monday and he, Murray, is just 1/50 (
Coral) to beat the Spaniard.
Murray has faced Gimeno-Traver once before, winning in straight sets and giving up just four games when they met in Valencia in 2009. He should have no problem in comfortably beating the 25-year-old again on Monday and it is a top price of 1/4 (
Victor Chandler) that he does so in three sets.
That should be easily achievable for the Scot and he can cover a 9.5 game handicap, at odds of 4/6 (
Victor Chandler) as Gimeno-Traver possesses very few weapons that can hurt the world number four. The line will be passed with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 win for Murray, which should be able to do without any fuss.
The Spanish player is 29/1 (
Unibet) to cause what would be one of the biggest updates in Wimbledon history.
