Newly crowned world number two Andy Murray is now targeting Roger Federer's number one ranking.
After claiming the Montreal Masters title, the Scot said only a couple of defeats were the difference between him and Roger Federer.
"If I had had a slightly better run at the Australian Open or not lost a tight match with Andy Roddick at Wimbledon then, who knows?" Murray said.
If Andy Murray is to continue his assault on the world rankings then he will have to defend his title at the Cincinnati Masters where he faces Nicolas Almagro.
Murray meets Almegro at 1600 BST on Wednesday.
