Novak Djokovic awaits the winner between Andy Murray of Scotland and David Ferrer of Spain, two players who meet on Day 12.
The 2011 Australian Open final will not include Roger Federer for the first time since 2008. He lost to Novak Djokovic in the semifinals for the second straight Grand Slam tournament and now the Serbian awaits the winner of the other semifinal which will take place between David Ferrer and Andy Murray.
Their match will take place on Day 12 of action in Rod Laver Arena. Ferrer holds a 3-2 lead in their head to head history however Murray is the better hard courter and he has won the only matches played between the two on the hard court surface.
They last met at the 2010 ATP World Tour Finals a couple of months ago and Murray was nothing but a runaway winner in the match. He defeated Ferrer 6-2, 6-2 and fans of the Scot will be calling for more of the same on Friday when the two meet again.
Match time is at 3:30am ET on Friday morning which corresponds to 7:30pm Melbourne time on Friday evening.
