Andreas Seppi will take on Igor Kunitsyn on Friday in the semi-finals of the ATP Eastbourne OpenYou can watch and bet on the action from the ATP Eastbourne Open at bet365Andreas Seppi emerged from yet another close encounter on Thursday, beating Olivier Rochus in the third round of the AEGON International (6-2, 6-7(5), 6-3). The Italian is now closing in on his first ever ATP title, and as things stand, he’s being tipped by many pundits to reach the final.
Seppi will be up against Igor Kunitsyn on Friday in the semi-finals. Kunitsyn is an experienced player, who appears to be turning a corner following a relatively poor start to the season. The Russian looked assured on Thursday, dismissing the challenge of Julien Benneteau in straight sets (6-3, 6-2).
Seppi and Kunitsyn are yet to meet in ATP competition, though Kunitsyn claimed a victory over Seppi way back in 2001 at
the Valdengo Challenger. This contest promises to be a close one, and whilst Seppi seems to be the favourite, it would be no major surprise to see Kunitsyn reach the final. The winner here will take on either Janko Tipsarevic or Kei Nishikori for the title.
