Andrea Petkovic will meet an in-form Agnieszka Radwanska on Sunday in the final of the China OpenYou can watch and bet on the action from the WTA Beijing Open at bet365Andrea Petkovic crusied into the final of the China Open last night with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over surprise semi-finalist Monica Niculescu. The No. 9 seed dominated throughout, and didn’t give the Romanian any chances to break her serve.
Speaking after the match, Petkovic remarked, "I've played really well this season. I played very consistent and won a lot of matches. It's definitely special to be in this final. I've never really won a big title. I was never in the final of a big tournament. So it's different, but it's still a final. It's a long, long road for me to the title."
Petkovic will now take on Agnieszka Radwanska for the title. Radwanska won the Toray Pan Pacific Open last week in Tokyo, and she’ll make a return to the top ten if she wins on Sunday. With the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships looming on the horizon, ranking points will be on the minds of both competitors.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash, Radwanska said, “"We played two times against each other in the summer; I won both those matches. That doesn't mean anything though. It's always very tough and very tight against Andrea.”
