Ana Ivanovic takes on Alicia Molik as Serbia play Australia at the Hopman Cup.
Ivanovic looked in fine form against Kazakhstan at the start of the week as Serbia confirmed their favourites tag with a resounding 3-0 win. Things get a whole lot tougher though today against the home team and Ivanovic and Novak Djokovic will be keen to wrap thing one up before it comes down to the mixed doubles with Molik and Lleyton Hewitt an experienced pair.
Ivanovic enjoyed a 7-6, 6-1 win over Yaroslava Shvedova on Sunday and her once troublesome serve appears to be finally becoming more reliable.
"It’s getting a lot better than it was before, trust me. It’s still something that gets away from me sometimes, but it’s just part of it now. I try to get rid of it and it’s getting a lot better - like in the last couple of months it was a lot more stable," she said.
Molik was outplayed 6-4, 6-4 by Justine Henin on Saturday and the former world number eight will be looking for an improved performance. However with a current ranking down at 129, Molik has had little experience of competing at this level for a while and it will be a surprise if she can test Ivanovic.
