Agnieszka Radwanska and Flavia Pennetta will face off on Saturday in the semi-finals of the China OpenYou can watch and bet on the action from the WTA Beijing Open at bet365Agnieszka Radwanska has been in superb form over the past two weeks, and she’s two wins away from winning her second consecutive WTA title. The Pole had been 6-3, 3-2 up against Ana Ivanovic in the quarter-finals on Friday, before the Serb was forced to retire due to an injury to her lower back.
Radwanska will now take on Flavia Pennetta on Saturday for a place in the final. Pennetta produced a terrific comeback against world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki in the quarter-finals, surviving a tight third set to claim a 3-6, 6-0, 7-6(2) success. The Italian had never beaten Wozniacki before, and she’ll be delighted to be through to the final four.
Radwanska has a 2-1 head to head record against Pennetta, and she’s ranked over ten places above her in the WTA rankings. On current form, she seems likely to pull through, but Pennetta is by no means a no-hoper. Following her win against Wozniacki, Pennetta should be ready to give Radwanska a real test.
