Agnieszka Radwanska has won the China Open with a three set victory over Andrea Petkovic

Agnieszka Radwanska maintained her superb run of form on Sunday by winning the China Open title with a 7-5, 0-6, 6-4 win against Andrea Petkovic. Radwanska recovered from a dreadful second set performance, and was perhaps a little fortunate to prevail after winning one less point overall than her opponent.

Radwanska has now won two titles in as many weeks, and she’s managed to crack the top ten. With the WTA Championships on the way, she’ll be delighted to have given herself an outside chance of qualifiying.

Petkovic isn’t out of the hunt just yet, but today’s result has hindered her chances. With the season drawing towards a close, Petkovic’s next few tournament outings will need to be lengthy in order for her to stand a chance.
