Tipsarevic will be hoping to claim his first ATP title having come close last autumn in Moscow. He is always a threat on grass and has beaten both Andy Murray and Andy Roddick on the surface in the past but has never before strung together a run like this on the surface.

Stakhovsky already has a title to his name having won Zagreb in 2008 and he enjoyed an excellent win over Xavier Malisse in Friday’s semi-finals.

Looking ahead to the final Tipsarevic commented, “"Stakhovsky’s not a guy who’s going to kill you. But in my opinion he plays very smart for this surface. If you look at the scores he’s had this week, I don’t think he’s had trouble in beating anybody."

These two have played twice before with Tipsarevic winning the most recent encounter 7-6, 6-3 in the Mons challenger final last year.
