04:30 – Viktor Troicki v Florian Mayer

First up at the Medibank International are Gilles Simon and Ernests Gulbis. Gulbis is the highest seed left in the draw, but is in for a real test against Simon. Simon has been solid throughout this competition, and is yet to drop a set.

The second semifinal will be contested by Viktor Troicki and Florian Mayer. Troicki overcame Richard Gasquet in the last round, and looks like a serious contender for the title. That said, Mayer has been growing in confidence all week, and was on song in his 6-4, 6-1 victory over Potito Starace in the last round.
