Friday's ATP Santiago Open schedule looks set to provide plenty of entertainment, as the remaining players battle it out for a place in the final four

Play will begin on Friday with Juan Ignacio Chela up against Santiago Giraldo. This should get the day's play off to a great start, as both players are seeded, and both are considered to be genuine contenders for this week's title. Chela and Giraldo have yet to face each other on the ATP World Tour, adding a further element of intrigue to this contest.

This will be followed by a second all-seed tie between Fabio Fognini and Thomaz Bellucci. This should be another fantastic match, as Bellucci will have to deal with his toughest challenge of the week. Bellucci is the reigning champion here in Santiago, and will need to play well to stand a chance of retaining his title.

The next mens singles match will be between Potito Starace and David Nalbandian or Horacio Zeballos. Nalbandian is the No. 1 seed in this competition, and will enter this match as the favourite if he pulls through against Zeballos.

The final singles match will involve Tommy Robredo and Maximo Gonzalez. Gonzalez turned heads with his first round victory over No. 2 seed Juan Monaco. He will need to produce another big performance in order to pull off yet another upset. Robredo appears to be the likely victor in this contest, though Gonzalez has already demonstrated why he's not to be written off.
