The ATP Santiago Open continues on Thursday with four of this week's seeded players in action

With places in the quarter-finals up for grabs, Thursday's action from the ATP Santiago Open looks set to provide plenty of entertainment. David Nalbandian's clash against Horacio Zeballos should provide an intriguing test of the No. 1 seed's title credentials. Nalbandian faced his first clay court match of the season in round one, where he defeated Carlos Berlocq in three sets. It wasn't a particularly convincing performance from the former world No. 3, though he's bound to produce better displays as this tournament unfolds. His opponent, Horacio Zeballos, should not be entirely written off, but he is clearly the underdog in this contest.

Another intriguing matchup is Santiago Giraldo versus Igor Andreev. Andreev is a former top twenty player, and is capable of beating some of the best players on the tour. That said, Giraldo, the No. 8 seed, enters this match as the higher ranked player. The widespread opinion is that this could be a very close match. The other two singles matches are Juan Ignacio Chela versus Caio Zampieri, and Potito Starace versus Pablo Andujar. Starace and Chela will be aiming to justify their seeding by progressing to the quarters.
