The Movistar Open is about to get underway here in Santiago

With several big names in action, the Movistar Open looks set to provide us with plenty of excitement. World No. 30 Thomaz Bellucci will be here, aiming to retain the title that he won here last year. He will face stiff competition though, with the likes of David Nalbandian, Juan Monaco and Juan Ignacio Chela in the draw.

Nalbandian enters this tournament as the No. 1 seed, and is expected to make a serious challenge for the title. He finished as a runner-up earlier in the year at Auckland, and is currently the world No. 21. Nalbandian has made a fantastic return from the injury that caused his ranking to slump in 2009, and now appears to be a serious force on the ATP World Tour.

Juan Monaco will also be the subject of plenty of attention here. He’s finished as the runner-up twice in this competition, and will be looking to finally go the distance. Monaco, an accomplished clay court player, is also ranked within the top thirty.
