Sam Querrey plays Rainer Schuettler in the AEGON Championships semi-finals.

Querrey has sneaked through the bottom section of the draw fairly unnoticed. He was too consistent for Xavier Malisse in their quarter-final, the American’s big serve and heavy groundstrokes helping him to a 6-3, 7-5 win.

It is a promising run for Querrey who has the natural weapons to be a threat on grass. However he has struggled with his movement on the surface in the past, not having a particularly successful time on it last year.   

Schuettler has been a big surprise package this week. The 34 year old has not done much of note on the ATP tour in the past year so this run has come from nowhere. He battled past Dudi Sela 7-5, 6-4 to set up the match against Querrey.

Schuettler beat the American in four sets at the Australian Open earlier this year and given how solid he’s been this week, he is our prediction to come through here and make the final.
