Nicolas Mahut takes on another serve-volleyer Frank Dancevic for a place in the quarters of the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.

Mahut took out the third seed Alejandro Falla 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 in a tight first round match which saw the players battling on-court temperatures of 97 degrees. Mahut had to fight off three break points in the final set but his grass court prowess saw him through in the end.
Canada’s Dancevic also had a tight 7-5, 6-4 win over Marc Gicquel in round one.
The two played on grass just a few weeks ago at Wimbledon qualifying with Mahut winning 6-3, 6-0 in resounding fashion.
Mahut handled Dancevic’s game very well on that occasion and the Frenchman is definitely strong favourite to beat him again.
