Sunday's championship match from Memphis will be taking place soon as Milos Raonic goes for his second title of the month and Andy Roddick goes for his 30th career title.
Milos Raonic, a player who could crack the top 40 with Monday's new rankings, will be going for his second ATP title in as many weeks as he prepares to face Andy Roddick in ATP Memphis's championship match.
Roddick enters the match ranked 8th on the world tour at the moment and he has a distinguished 29 titles. He bested Juan Martin Del Potro in the semifinals for the right to face Raonic and the former world number 1 is far too experienced to be taking his opponent lightly in the final.
Raonic, a player who is ranked just 59th at the moment, he should be up by more than 20 spots on February 21st.
Raonic enters the final having played 8 matches in the last two weeks and he could be disadvantaged against a better rested opponent. However Raonic should have been more fatigued against Fish in the semifinals but in the late going of that match Raonic was the one with the energy.
The match is significant as it could be called the toughest test of Raonic's career to date. The Order of Play lists the match is occuring not before 3pm (CST; 4pm ET) from Memphis as the starting time of the final could be affected by men's doubles play.
The two players have never faced one another but they are both big servers who promise to make the match shorter with loads of aces.
