Rotterdam champion Robin Soderling aims for his second title of the European indoor season in Marseille.

Soderling is the top seed in Marseille and after his brilliant run to with the Rotterdam title last week with wins over Nikolay Davydenko and Mikhail Youzhny he will be hard to stop this week. Soderling is 9/4 to go all the way with Ladbrokes.

Youzhny is also in the field this week but how well he fares will depend on the severity of his hamstring injury.

Others in contention for the Open 13 title are Australian Open semi-finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who is seeded second and third seed Gael Monfils.

However both Tsonga and Monfils have very poor records in Marseille. Tsonga lost in the first round back in 2008 while Monfils has lost at the first hurdle on each of his four appearances so far in Marseille. However Coral are still pricing him as third favourite at 6/1.

The French contingent is very strong with Gilles Simon, the champion in 2007 also in action. However it is Simon’s first tournament of the year so it is unlikely he will challenge for the title again.

Marcos Baghdatis, runner-up three years ago is seventh seed. The Cypriot is 9/1 to win the title this year with Sky Bet.
