Nicolas Almagro takes on talented young Frenchman Jeremy Chardy for a place in the last four of the Allianz Swiss Open Gstaad.

Almagro has not been in great form this week and could be in danger here. The second seed has been involved in two three setters so far, taken the distance by wild card Michael Lammer. Almagro started slowly and dropped serve five times, during his 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win.

Chardy in contrast has strolled through two rounds, continuing Paul-Henri Mathieu’s dire run with a 6-1, 6-3 win over the eighth seed and dispatching Jarkko Nieminen 7-5, 6-2.

Almagro has won both their previous matches, including a 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 win in Miami this year but we predict that this could be the time for Chardy to get some revenge.
