The final four will meet here in Acapulco for the highly anticipated semi-finals of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel

Play will begin with Nicolas Almagro up against Thomaz Bellucci. Almagro has been the star of the Golden Swing this year, winning back-to-back tournaments in Costa do Sauipe and Buenos Aires. He is now just two victories away from a third successive title, and will close in on the top ten if he can achieve this incredible feat. Bellucci is not to be overlooked though. The Brazilian ousted Fernando Verdasco in round one, and gave Almagro a close match in the only previous meeting between the pairing.

The second semi-final will take place on Saturday morning (GMT), and will involve No. 1 seed David Ferrer and No. 6 seed Alexandr Dolgopolov. Ferrer coasted through his first two matches, but had to fight back from a set down to defeat Juan Monaco in the quarters. Dolgopolov has yet to drop a set this week, but needed to produce a gutsy display to achieve his 6-4, 7-6(6) victory against fourth seed Stanislas Wawrinka. Ferrer leads the head to head between the pairing 2-0, and will enter the match as the favourite. That said, this could be a very tricky match for the Spaniard.
