Andy Murray served up 13 aces in a relatively short match in the semifinals of the 2011 AEGON Championships as the world number four sent off Andy Roddick of the USA.
Murray's service performance was especially impressive given that he did it in only eight service games as the match ended 6-3, 6-1. The aces did come at the expense of accuracy as Murray only had a 54% first service serving percentage however the Scot had no double faults in the match and he never faced break point.
Murray promises to be the favorite heading into tomorrow's final, a match that will probably be against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France, a player who led his underdog opponent in the other semifinal.
Should Murray serve anything like he did on Saturday at Wimbledon later this month he looks great to, at least, duplicate his semifinal appearance at the All England Club.
