Wozniacki and Clijsters will be on opposite sides of the draw at Flushing Meadows again this year.

Caroline Wozniacki is currently in the WTA New Haven draw and with a title at Montreal just behind her, she looks like a major threat to win the 2010 US Open.  With Serena Williams out of the mix, Kim Clijsters is the other major claimant for the Grand Slam title and then there are a host of peripheral threats.  Betting odds due make Sharapova the second favorite but that is an opinion that can certainly be disputed.

The value bets for the 2010 US Open are with Wozniacki, Kuznetsova, and Pavlyuchenkova as they have all been underrated in the betting market.  They each have recent hard court titles with Wozniacki's Canadian Masters title being the most prestigious although Kuznetsova has San Diego and Pavlyuchenkova won Istanbul. 

Although the Instanbul draw wasn't exactly stacked, Pavlyuchenkova's status of 8th favorite is justified as she did make the semis of Cincinnati through Dementieva and Yanina Wickmayer. 

Clijsters won Cincinnati of course but at +350 she's just not worth the gamble.
