Serena Williams is perfect in her open round matches at Grand Slams.

The 2010 French Open is scheduled to start its main draw on Sunday May 23rd.

In the first round of the women's draw Serena Williams and 20 year old Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland will meet for the first time. 

Voegele comes in at +1100 (11/1) and since Williams is priced way too short to bet at -5000 (1/50) with bet365, the only thing to look at here is if Voegele has enough hope in their match to justify sprinkling her odds of +1100 (11/1).  If it could be shown that Voegele had some promising recent results then perhaps she could be bet lightly to upset Williams in their opening match.

Voegele however, has not showed much promise lately.

She fell in the first round of Madrid and while that was to a quality player in Venus Williams even the lower ranked players have experienced success against Voegele.  She lost in Estoril to Anastasia Rodionova (ranked 99th at match time) and Voegele lost in Barcelona to Arantxa Parra Sanonja (ranked 90th) as well.

Voegele is not below the radar in any way and she seems incredibly unlikely to knock Williams out in the first round, especially since she is a perfect 41-0 in the opening rounds of Grand Slam tournaments.
