British teenager Laura Robson could not mark her Ladies Wimbledon debut with a win, after losing to Daniela Hantuchova despite taking the first set.

Robson, 15, the 2008 Wimbledon girls' champion, produced some huge serves as she powered to the first set winning start.

However a number of recurring errors began to creep into the youngsters game and two double faults handed the former world number five, Hantuhova, the second set.

Hantuchova, ranked 456 places above Robson, used all of her experience in the decider to seal a 3-6 6-4 6-2 victory against the tricky British teenager.
