Stanislas Wawrinka plays Marcos Baghdatis for a place in the third round of the Australian Open in the night session on Margaret Court Arena.
Former finalist Baghdatis is always a popular figure in Australia and this is easily his favourite event of the year. Melbourne has a sizeable Greek population, creating an atmosphere comparable to Davis Cup at Baghdatis' matches.
He'll need all their support on Wednesday against the stylish Wawrinka, seeded 21, who reached the quarters last year. Wawrinka's had a subdued start to 2012, losing early in Chennai but he looked impressive on Monday, getting the job done in double quick time against Benoit Paire - 6-1, 6-1, 7-5.
Baghdatis also made light of the debilitating daytime heat, seeing off the big serving Ben Becker 6-1, 7-6(5), 6-2. The Cypriot looked in decent form in Sydney last week, seeing off Juan Martin Del Potro on the way to the semi-finals.
Wawrinka has won their only previous match on tour - 6-3, 6-7(1), 6-0 in Indian Wells four years ago. This should be a good one and could easily go the distance. Wawrinka has not been at his top ten best for a while and with the crowd roaring him on, Baghdatis might just pull out something special.
