Novak Djokovic plays Aussie legend Lleyton Hewitt in a highly charged fourth round clash at the Australian Open.
It's been an emotional week for Hewitt who has typically defied all expectations to make the last sixteen, sparking some incredible scenes on Rod Laver Arena with his 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-3 win over the powerful Milos Raonic on Saturday.
"I don't think a lot of people would have given me a lot of hope when the draw came out to be in the fourth round going into the second week," Hewitt said afterwards.
"I've done everything right so far, laid it all out on the line. I think in terms of how much pain and stuff I played with last year, it's really only my team and people close to me and probably the Davis Cup boys sort of know what I've had to deal with. So, yeah, it's pleasing to come through like I have the last three matches."
However deep down, even Hewitt's most ardent fans knows he'll have to produce something very, very special to push Djokovic close. The Serb has been in otherworldly form this week, dropping just two games in his third round clash with Nicolas Mahut.
He also holds a 4-1 advantage on the head-to-head, winning 7-5, 6-3, 6-3 at this stage on the way to winning the 2008 Australian Open and he beat Hewitt 6-2, 6-4 at last year's Hopman Cup.
"I'll prepare as well as possible again. I'll do all the right things," Hewitt said. "Yeah, he's the No. 1 player in the world for a reason at the moment. I'm going to enjoy going out there and having a crack."
