Maria Sharapova goes for her second Australian Open title against Victoria Azarenka in the Australian Open final.
Sharapova is good value for money at 6/5 second favourite with
bet365. The Russian is the three-time Grand Slam champion and although it may be four years since she last did it, experience counts for a huge amount in these matches.
Plus Sharapova pulled off a big win over second seed Petra Kvitova in the semis. Hard courts may not be Kvitova's surface but she's been in sparkling form so far this year and posted a couple of wins over Sharapova in 2011, so this was a big confidence booster for the Russian.
Azarenka played the match of her life to see off Kim Clijsters in the last four but she got very tight towards the end, understandable maybe but that's only going to be amplified in a slam final.
In particular, Sharapova in straight sets at
12/5 at bet365 looks like a pretty good deal. If she takes the opener, it's hard to see Azarenka hitting back and we all know that Sharapova's a great front runner.
