Day One of the Australian Open 2012 served up some stunning tennis action shots at Melbourne Park.
The Swiss tennis star Roger Federer cruised through to round two as he defeated the Russian Alexandre Kudryavtsev in three straight sets while Spanish rival Rafael Nadal only dropped 6 games in total when he played Alex Kuznetsov from the United States (4-6, 1-6, 1-6).
Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark made her ambitions clear defeating Anastasia Rodionova in 2 straight sets whilst underdog Heather Watson from the UK just narrowly escaped a white wash against the rising tennis ace Victoria Azarenka (6-1, 6-0).
