Agnieszka Radwanska and Julia Goerges will meet on Sunday for an exciting fourth round clash at the 2012 Australian OpenYou can watch and bet on Radwanska v Goerges live for free at bet365 > live tennisAgnieszka Radwanska and Julia Goerges both sit just outside the pack of main contenders for the Australian Open 2012 title, but both players will feel that they’ve got an outside chance of going the distance. The pairing will meet on Sunday in round four for the opportunity to take part in the second week of the first slam of the season.
Radwanska continued her quest for the Melbourne crown with a confident 6-2, 6-2 win over Galina Voskoboeva, capitalising on some early errors from her opponent to take charge of the contest. The Pole broke twice in the first set, and maintained her stranglehold on the match as Voskoboeva’s threat continued to fade.
Round three wasn’t quite so straightforward for Goerges. The German was rattled early on by Romina Oprandi, who had clearly been buoyed by her second round dismissal of former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone. Goerges quickly switched to a more defensive approach, and this eventually paid dividends as she progressed with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 success.
Expect a close matchup between Goerges and Radwanska on Sunday. Radwanska is arguably the favourite, but there isn’t much to choose between these two competitors.
