Novak Djokovic was named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for his record breaking 2011 season on Monday night.
Djokovic won the award at a ceremony in London on Monday night, just a week after retaining his Australian Open title - his fourth major in five attempts.
Winning the French Open would see the Serbian star become only the third man to hold all four Grand Slam titles at the same time, but he is looking to also become the first ever male to win every major AND the Olympics in a single year.
Speaking on Monday night, Djokovic said: "I think everything is possible. I have to stay optimistic.
"I have to believe in what I do and believe in my abilities and that I can win on all surfaces.
"Obviously, Roland Garros is the one to win this year. All the grand slams and Olympic Games, they are my priorities."
Meanwhile Petra Kvitova and Li Na missed out. Kvitova had been nominated for World Sportswoman of the Year while both women had been nominated for Newcomer of the Year.
