Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is up against Viktor Troicki in the Rome Masters second round.

This is not Tsonga’s favourite time of the year with the clay-courts not really suiting his big hitting game. However he has been grinding out some results, making the third round in Monte-Carlo and the Barcelona quarter-finals last week.

Troicki has been very inconsistent in 2010. The Serb started the year well in Doha but it has all gone downhill from there. He was comfortably dispatched 6-4, 6-3 by Tommy Robredo in Monte-Carlo  and like Tsonga, he does not exactly relish playing on clay.

Troicki has won both of his previous matches against Tsonga but they have never played on clay.
